High heels continue to get 'bad' press.
Sure, wearing heels can cause pain and increase the likelihood of injury. But the solution isn't to ask women to stop wearing heels.
The solution is to ask women to wear high heels smarter.
That's why I was thrilled to see MSN.com and Business Insider featuring insight from a UK-based podiatrist.
Dr. Andrew Gladstone says wearing high heels is just fine as long as we listen to our feet. If our feet hurt, then the high heels probably need to come off.
Makes total sense!
Wear the shoes you love.
Listen to your feet.
And if they start to hurt, lose the shoes.
He goes on to say that foot health problems aren’t universal among heel lovers. And that some people can wear high heels all day with no problem. It simply depends on their "foot shape.”
Love this!
I am on a mission to find out more about this mysterious "foot shape" theory...
But in the meantime, let's be smart about the way we wear high heels. If they hurt our feet, they come off.
